PRICES

$40 (includes board, paddle, PFD, and class)

$30 (bring your own board and paddle)

$50 for ½ day RENTAL (4 hours)

$90 for full day RENTAL (8 hours)

A swipe of your credit card will be taken prior to leaving with the board/paddle.  Only the rental charge will be incurred once the board is returned undamaged.

IF PADDLING ALONE - Town permits must be acquired through the Boro in which you will be paddling.  Rumson Boro Hall can provide this for any Rumson or Fair Haven paddler for $40 for the entire summer season.  Permits are required by town and by the US coast guard.  FOR OLA CLASSES - no permit required.

CLASS DESCRIPTION

'Ola SUP

Ola is short for OhanaLA, which means "Wave of of Life".  SUP is short for Stand Up Paddle Boarding  - - an ancient water activity that in recent years has made a remarkable re-entry to the world of water sports.  The boards are designed to provide excellent flotation while standing on the board, assisted by a paddle designed to help propel and turn the board.  OLA SUP classes are taught by a certified and experienced paddle teacher who instructs safety and proper paddling techniques needed to enjoy a paddle cruise along calm water.  This class is geared toward beginners but all levels welcome.

LIMIT: 8 PEOPLE PER CLASS

 

SUP Yoga

Yoga classes will be practiced on Stand Up Paddle Boards secured by tether to a floating dock.  These classes are designed for added challenge to your core strength, balance and overall connection with the beautiful outdoors.  The practice will conclude with a guided meditation practice lying supine on the board stretched out under the sun.  And if time permits – a brief OLA SUP paddle lesson in the cove.

Sunset Cruise SUP

This class is designed for experienced paddlers, interested in a longer, more independent cruise on the river.  You'll be partnered with one other person but given freedom to cruise along the river at your own pace working on speed, strokes and balance.  Please have knowledge, comfort and experience on the board as well as ease in getting back on your board should you fall off in open water.  This class is also designed so that you can enjoy a meditative approach to your paddle cruise.  Less about Instruction.  More about Peaceful paddle into the Sunset.

SUP and SUPYoga Mix

This class is for those interested in paddling on the river as a warm up to SUP yoga class.  Experience in both Stand Up and yoga is recommended.  The class begins with a half hour paddle in the river, then an anchor down off the board for a guided yoga practice ending with a meditation practice on the SUP board.
